For most of us, Indonesia, mainly associated with Bali - a fashionable resort with unearthly beauty of nature. But there is a part of this state are plenty of amazing islands, famous for its unique flora and fauna.
Among them stands out the Komodo, which along with other areas of land included in the eponymous national park conservation, covering not only hundreds of square kilometers of land, but also a significant part of the coastal area, which is home to just under half of all species of ocean inhabitants. This park was founded over thirty years ago and is under the auspices of UNESCO.
But the main thing - to Komodo and nowadays living descendants of prehistoric lizards - huge lizards that have appeared here about two hundred million years ago, in the Jurassic period.
