The capital of the Seychelles - Victoria (Victoria) - a small town surrounded by sprawling tropical shade trees. Its history goes back to the 18th century, when 15 French colonists landed on the island and established the first settlement of Port Royal. When the island came under the authority of England, the city was renamed in honor of the Queen of England and gained its current name. Now the city, surrounded on three sides by mountains, is home to 26,000 people, but the locals believe that the city has grown too, so the construction in the city is prohibited.
Strolling through the streets of Victoria, climbing the surrounding hills, appreciate the beauty of untouched nature, one can understand why the islanders find their homeland only surviving piece of land on the sunken garden of Eden.
