The CNN channel compiled an annual ranking of cities with the best street food. The list includes 23 megapolises. This was announced at the end of last week by the portal Thailand-news.

In the first place in the top, as well as during several previous years, the capital of Thailand - Bangkok is located. Also in the top five were Tokyo, Honolulu (Hawaii), Durban (South Africa) and New Orleans (USA).

Street food in Bangkok is literally cultivated. At the same time, this is one of the easiest ways to get to know the local culture. A huge assortment of Thai dishes is offered in food stalls, on trolleys with food, in stalls and markets.

The most popular dishes are papaya salad, fried rice, shrimp noodles, fried pork with basil, chicken with steamed rice, grilled fish.

The most popular among tourists are three food points. The first is the Chinatown in Yaowarat Street with a wide selection of seafood, as well as desserts. The second is the ancient district of the Thai capital Bangrak (BangRak) with Chinese, Indian and international cuisine. And, of course, Khao San Road, where you can find the most exquisite Thai delicacies.
